REHS Battlefield Study-June 2017

This five day Battlefield Study will follow the role of the Royal Engineers and concentrate on sieges and fortifications, culminating in the Battle of Salamanca in 1812.  It will cover the Peninsular War period flying into Lisbon and take five days visiting the Lines of Torres Vedras, Elvas, Badajoz, Almeida, Ciudad Rodrigo and Salamanca and then flying out of Madrid.

Potential meet up with the Houses of Parliament Cross Party Group on Portugal.
Done by individual arrangements.   All are advised to book flights that arrive in Lisbon from 1100hrs onwards. 3 x shuttles will be arranged to take all to the hotel during the day.  Further details to follow.  Hotel  is currently  Olissippo Oriente Hotel in Lisbon
 
If people arrive early they will have time to visit the city centre under own arrangements.
