The Institution of Royal Engineers (InstRE)

Field Marshals’ Room RE Museum
1800hrs Tuesday 8 October 2019

Demolition engineering involves the widest possible application of professional engineer attributes.
The selection of demolition technique, plant, phasing and the environmental demands are often coupled with the requirement for rapid execution.
The safety and welfare of operatives and the public is paramount as the temporary conditions see structures likely to be in their most hazardous state as they are partially removed.
The lecture will be given by the technical director of a leading specialist demolition company. It will cover all of these practice requirements, illustrated by reference to recent case studies.
Refreshments will be provided.
Pre-booking is essential as numbers for this event are strictly limited to 60 and will be made on a first come first served basis.
