Members of the Temporary Works Forum and the Royal Engineers will discuss the challenges and benefits of using digital technology to enable workflow between designers and contractors. The main event will be preceded by the Kent and East Sussex branch AGM.
The visualization of an engineering problem, the ability to rapidly communicate execution intent and requirements in one direction and the emerging state of construction in the other, along with management of resources are all imperatives being addressed in temporary works and military engineering through digital collaboration.
This Joint meeting between the Institution of Royal Engineers, Institution of Civil Engineers and the Temporary Works Forum will describe the digital technologies supporting these activities; some of the important enabling technologies, the emerging forms of these technologies and discuss the formation requirements for engineer development to ensure they are able to deploy and manage the technologies.
InstRE members are restricted to a maximum of 20 live attendees.
