On Wednesday 14th July at 7:30pm UK time, Maj K B Khapung Limbu gave a talk on the History of The Queen’s Gurkha Engineers (QGE). This included the formation of Gurkha Sappers after the independence of India and the early challenges encountered by Maj J Thornber and his team on forming the initial Gurkha Training Squadron. The talk also described the affiliation of QGE with Indian Army Corps of Engineers, Royal Engineers and Brigade of Gurkhas.
