05 November 2025 – REHS & Balfour Beatty Mulberry Harbour Remembrance Day

Balfour Beatty Internal Veteran’s Network (Mulberry Network) are planning a Remembrance Day Event at the National Memorial Arboretum on the 5 November 2025.  Intent is to hold a parade in the morning, break for lunch, then have an array of activities in Oak 1 Suite in the afternoon.  The Oak 1 Suite has floor-to-ceiling glass that frames the Armed Forces Memorial and has all the connectivity and equipment required to host presentations and briefs accordingly.  Timings and programme at this early stage of planning remain extremely flexible!

Given the strong link that Balfour Beatty has with the Mulberry Harbours – a marvellous feat of engineering – a request has been received as to whether anyone from the Society would be willing to deliver a short presentation on their design, construction and operational delivery during the war?  If so, please contact the Chief Executive (chiefexec@instre.org) who will pass on the contact details of the organisers within Balfour Beatty.

Balfour Beatty has also kindly offered that REHS Members may attend the event; however, numbers may well need to be limited because there is already a lot of interest coming from their Veteran Community.   Please register your interest in attending via the website link below.
