What our members say

“The opportunities that have been afforded to me through EngTech have been second to none and initially registering has been one of the best things to come out of my career so far. I’ll continue striving to further my CPD and my advice to anybody would be to get registered and grasp the opportunities with both hands.”

“I don’t understand why people wouldn’t seek to gain this internationally recognised professional accreditation which displays your engineering credentials.  It has allowed me the insight of the Engineering Council UK which allows me to encourage and advise soldiers and officers to do the same.  Being professionally registered with the Institution of Royal Engineers has provided opportunities for me to contribute to shaping our future and to help our people grow.  Don’t wait until your last 12 months!”

“Gaining professional registration through InstRE provides me with a level of professional competency which is immediately transferable and understandable to military and civilian counterparts which is internationally recognised. This competency provides those who I work alongside professionally with the confidence that my knowledge and experience is sound. To be accepted for this registration means you have reached the standard required by the Engineering Council UK SPEC which is independent of the professional engineering institutions in the UK. Once you hold this professional recognition you are required to maintain your competence via CPD each year thus is evidence that you are a current professional person in your given field of expertise. I am currently working to upgrade my Eng Tech to IEng hoping to further endorse my knowledge and experience”.
