In recognition of 22 years of exemplary contribution to the Army Reserve as Chief of Staff of the Staff Corps, Jon Prichard was honoured on Wednesday 18th December 2024 to be awarded the King’s Volunteer Reserves Medal by HRH the Princess Royal on behalf of HM the King.
After 20 years as a regular sapper officer, Jon was invited to join the Engineer and Logistic Staff Corps RE (V) as Acting Adjutant in 2003 (redesignated as COS in 2020), taking over from Colonel Mike Stancombe. During Jon’s time in the Staff Corps, it has evolved from a narrow focus on RE and RLC support, to one that now contributes across wider Defence challenges from cyber to corporate support. In addition to the COS role, Jon is currently a non-executive member of the Defence College of Technical Training Management Board.
